Funding FAQs

Who Do We Want to Fund?

  1. What types of organisations are eligible for funding?
We fund registered non-profits, community organisations, and NGOs that align with our mission to empower women and children in poverty-affected areas. Where possible we hope that our partners will have independent boards and are female led.
  2. Which regions or countries are prioritised for funding?
The Foundation’s aim is to make a positive impact around the world by supporting projects and organisations across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. In 2024 we are prioritising funding for projects in Rwanda, Guyana and South Sudan.
  3. What kind of projects does the foundation support?
We support initiatives focused on education, promoting health and wellbeing, and gender equality, particularly those that create sustainable impact.
  4. Are there specific criteria for project selection?
Yes, we look for projects that demonstrate clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and the potential to bring long-term benefits to women and children.
  5. Can new organisations apply for funding?
The Foundation does not accept unsolicited funding applications.

At BB Energy Foundation, we believe in supporting organisations of varying sizes, recognising the unique contributions each can make to our shared goals of community development and empowerment.

We believe in the power of partnerships. We carefully select organisations we partner with. Grant applications are by invitation only.

We actively seek collaborations with other organisations, governments, and stakeholders to maximize the impact of our initiatives and drive positive change at scale.
